We like working with attorneys, business managers  CPAs, wealth managers, and other sources of referral. Together we make good team players, professionals working together. Our job is to look out for problems, keep the plan working properly, and avoid nasty surprises. We do our work quietly and seamlessly, to minimize your time required, and the time of your team. We try to advise you in advance of issues coming up, while you have time to take action.

We work with your team to establish procedures and contacts, so that the work is done timely and completely – we understand changes in personnel. We understand that training your team on retirement plan issues is part of the job, and we understand that advising your team about potential problems is also a big part of the job. We do this all the time.

We understand last-minute work. If you call us on December 29, 2012 and need a new retirement plan set up for a client by December 31, 2012, we will do our best to deliver the plan and trust documents to you for signature by December 31, 2012. Get us the data, have a brief conversation with us to get all the client information as to prior retirement plans, other companies owned, leased employees, Guild benefits, etc., and then tell us what kind of contribution limits and plan you want. We do this every year, and we have a system for it.

We understand your time is valuable, and if you refer business to us, you want us to provide quality service for a reasonable fee. We work to minimize your time requirement on retirement plan data collection. We cut out needless tasks. We have been in business since 1978 as retirement plan administrators and actuaries. Pete Austin is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and began his experience in management consulting as an Actuary with KPMG. When you refer business to us, Pete will be your consultant. We charge a flat annual fee which is quite reasonable and understandable.

We understand thorny takeover problems. We've been there and done that, and we will advise you in a quiet professional manner of your options for getting to a better place for the client.

We understand your need to keep up-to-date on retirement plan matters. We will answer any general or specific questions you may have on retirement plans, if we can. No charge. All that is required is for you to pick up the phone and call us.

You might call us to set up a new retirement plan for a client, or to review and take over administration for an existing retirement plan for a client. In either situation, we review all of the client's information with you very carefully, including Guild plans, current and prior company earnings, other companies owned or related to the owner, prior retirement plans, and information on employees other than the owners. We then discuss contribution goals with you, and any other issues, recommend a plan design and related future contributions to you, and discuss the design and alternatives. You then decide with your client what route to take.
